Great Grey Owl/Lapland Owl (Strix nebulosa)
Mimicking my expression during social gatherings.
Quite reclusive, one of the largest owls in Canada
Surrounded by screeching crows, he only stayed for about 7 minutes after I arrived.

I've never seen these owls, but I've heard them. What a strong, deep and beautiful song they have! You were lucky to see them! Nice photo!

Thanks. Lucky indeed, there have been no reports of a great grey being spotted in my park. Luckily it was a peak year for the owls back then.
